Environmentally friendly coffins
We can offer green and eco friendly coffins, all of which are handmade in the UK and originate from FSC approved sources. Eco coffins are designed for green and woodland burials, and are available in a range of sizes, styles and materials:
- Bamboo – woven with unstripped bamboo, these offer a beautiful, natural look
- Cardboard – these are constructed from 70% recycled paper with added wood pulp. The handles are made from a natural woven rope and only natural starch based glues are used in the construction.
- Willow – an increasingly popular option, these are generally available in golden brown or white. Plyboard can also be fitted to the underside of the coffin if required for a cremation.
- Seagrass – these coffins come a range of natural tones
Our Woodland Trust coffins are made from unpolished solid wood, woven willow or sustainably sourced FSC boards and are certified for woodland burials.
